2004 Fall Term
Dear Loyola Student:
Welcome back. The purpose of this letter is to help you select courses for the upcoming semester. Loyola offers more upper division courses to choose from than any other California law school—79 this semester alone.
Our website has a tool that makes course selection easier. The Guide to the Curriculum organizes all courses into fifteen tracks that correspond to the major areas of law practice. The Guide also identifies for you all required courses and all courses that cover material on the California Bar Exam.
While the Guide is a useful tool, it is no substitute for individualized attention. The faculty is your best source for advice. Don’t hesitate to ask for our help in making your course selections.
I also want to bring to your attention several courses being taught for the first time. We add new courses every semester to respond to changing interests and developments in our dynamic profession. This semester look for these new courses: Business Planning: Financing the Start-up; Contract Drafting; International Intellectual Property; International Litigation; Medical Malpractice and the Administration of Health Care; Taxation of Real Estate Transactions.
Finally, don’t forget to check our website for the spring semester tentative schedule. Knowing your options in the spring will help you to make choices for the fall.
Have a great semester.
